Today’s note is all about backlinks and what you can do to quickly size up your competition. I first saw this trick when I worked with authority.builders. I spoke to Matt Diggity and he was gracious enough for me to share this cool tip with you.

So what are you going to learn? You’ll be able to quickly tell how many backlinks a page or site has in certain DR “buckets” e.g. DR 0-10, 11-20, 21-30, etc.

<aside> 💡 A caveat: DR is not the only thing you should look at when building links. I would take a highly-relevant backlink over one with high DR that’s irrelevant. That said, this sheet can help you gauge the cost of a link building campaign.

Firstly, this sheet will sort a pages backlinks by their domain rating. You will be able to see how many backlinks the page has in their respective buckets: DR: 0-10, 11-20, 21-30 etc.

To begin, go over the Ahrefs and sort check out the backlinks to any particular page.

For this example I’m going to use the page https://www.format.com/online-portfolio-website

Simple put the page in and be sure to select “exact URL” this will give you the data for that specific page:
