Note update!

Before we get into the rest of this awesome note, I wanted to share some information gain inspiration that Eric Lancheres posted in his wonderful group My Traffic Research.

Eric gave the example of common information being adapted and re-positioned as new information to Google… thus improving information gain scores. Example:

Common knowledge on Google: it takes 2 hours and 18 minutes to charge an iPhone 14 to 100%

Eric’s information gain / new information to Google: it takes 1 hour to charge and iPhone 14 to 50%.

By taking this stat and offering a new spin, we are able to teach Google something new!

So how else can we present new information?

<aside> 💡 Switch the unit of measure, e.g. Steve’s Golf R goes 0-60 in 4.4 seconds… it also goes from 0-95.6 km/h in 4.4 seconds or 0-100km/h in 4.5 seconds. You get the idea! 💨
